This is from my AT email last Thursday: "I'm in the sunny, warm town of Los Angeles this week, photographing amazing small rooms for a new book, which I'm tentatively calling "Small, Smart & Proud: The Ultimate Guide to Small Homes" but we'll see how that feels when it gets close to done. I'm still in the middle of the birthing process. Here's a few things I've seen, the last of which is a great shopping discovery...."

"Mozza, in Hollywood, is a really good restaurant (with Mario Batali behind it, among others) that has a casual side that does pizza and a fancier side that does dishes. These pics are from the bar where we ate on Tuesday, which was surprisingly filled with little brass animals. There were tons of them and it was whimsical and beautiful.

This pic below is of Joe, the stylist, putting the finishing touches on a lovely little girl's room in Studio City that was created by Ursula's grandmother! The final pics will be in the book...

Visiting a young couple with a beautiful nursery later in the afternoon, I ran across this new Eames soft pad management chair. Complimenting them on their purchase they told me that it was a knock-off and only cost $200. I was floored. It's a really nice reproduction and totally fooled me. If you love this design, I urge you to check out the source: In Mode Home on La Brea. They're a store with a minimal website, but you can call them and they should ship."
