They also love to work with new materials. Jasper Morrison (b. 1959) is perhaps best known to AT readers as the man behind the lovely white line of Rowenta kitchen appliances, while Ross Lovegrove (b. 1958) impresses with a career that extends from working on the Sony Walkman to the supercool Supernatural Chair above.

What exactly does an "almost feminine feeling around minimalism" mean?
Dear V, it may be totally wrong, but I think of straight lines and angular shapes as masculine, and I think of curves and organic shapes as feminine. Used well they balance one another perfectly and represent a certain harmony.
when I think of minimalism I think of very spare, angular shapes.
These two are minimal, but use a lot of sinuous, curvy shapes which is distinctive, I believe.
Does that make sense?

as for curved lines being feminine and straight ones masculine, this is about the same as saying pink is for girls and blue is for boys. sinuous v sensuous might have made the point without the gender cliches.
