We ran this survey last year and were surprised that it was so close between Colgate, Crest and Tom's of Maine. Are we really a big pack of blandness? Should we care that Colgate bought Tom's of Maine? Our big question this year is what do you think of Marvis, the currently sexiest toothpaste alternative....

Anyone ever tried Euthymol? It's a marvelous British toothpaste (insert British dental hygiene joke here) - bright pink and, as I recall, tastes like those pink lozenge candies. I used it in Ireland and England and now wish I could get it here.

I'm a Tom's of Maine fan personally... My dentist isn't far from their outlet store, so yay for cheap toothpaste!
I love Jason's natural toothpastes. They have even less synthetic gunk than Toms and the Powersmile tooth brightener is great at keeping pearlies fresh.
i have just tipped the perfect balance between colgate, crest and tom's.
the ease of getting toothpaste out is what matters the most to me. i use colgate max fresh little bottles. so much easier to use than tubes.
I usually buy regular Crest, but I'm not picky about brands as long as the tube has the ADA seal of approval on it. I don't understand why I would want a "sexy" toothpaste so much as one that will keep my mouth clean and healthy.
Not feeling a need to express my individuality through my choice of toothpaste . . .
I love Marvis, but the $7 price tag they slap on it at Anthropologie kills me. It's an Italian brand, so keep your eyes peeled for it at your local Italian import store or stock up on it during your next trip to Italia. Who knows, someone probably already does that and sells it on Ebay.
DO NOT USE PEARL DROPS unless you want to destroy your teeth. Yes, I meant to yell because I spent all summer and too much money repairing the damage 1.5 tubes of that stuff did to my, until now, amazingly strong and beautiful teeth. My dentist lectured me for 10 minutes and now I tell everyone I know that the stuff is dangerous.
ELGYDIUM....the best, tastiest, cleanest.
It's french, it anise flavored, and worth the 10.00 a tube.
