When it comes to decorating, small changes often have big impact. Lighting is one of those; it can easily make or break the feeling of a room. With that in mind, I've been searching for a way to light up my dining area. I was looking for something simple but with enough presence to hold its own, preferably with a seventies vibe. I'd considered standing lamps, chandeliers and table lamps before I found exactly what I was looking for in the Remodelista pop-up shop just outside this year's Dwell on Design show.
Atelier Journal's wall-mounted swing-armed Jib lamp, which comes in a choice of three powder coated finishes (black, grey and off-white) and sizes (85, 50 inches and 38 inches) is a standout in French-born and bred designer Gabriel Ahab's small but strong collection which also includes a stacking stool, a bar stool and two occasional tables and a brass table lamp. You can find the Jib lamps in Los Angeles at Lawson-Fenning or you can order the whole collection directly by clicking here.
