When picking out furniture and accessories for children's rooms, it's not a bad idea to keep in mind each item's ability to eventually migrate elsewhere in your home. From Apartment Therapy LA comes this great roundup of lighting that might be designed for kids but could easily adapt to other settings. See our favorites below the jump.

The Tripod Task Lamp ($69) would be welcome on our desk any time the kiddo is done with it.

We might skip the kids entirely and just go ahead and assimilate either the Cortland Ceiling Pendant ($249) or the Fisherman Ceiling Lamp ($89) into our home.

This Penguin Nightlight ($19) looks like it would cast just the right amount of light for midnight feeding sessions... or for midnight sneaking-in-after-curfew attempts.
