Back in April, we swore it would be at least a year until returning to IKEA. But the itch is back, based on our need of some basics and our desire to see what's new. One of those desires is a rug that's not your typical 3'x5', 4'x 6', etc. rectangle. We found a few intriguing ones that may just have us hauling out to Schaumburg:
Above: JORUN by Petra Börner, $299; oval, Length: 9 ' 2 " and Width: 7 ' 10 "
(reminds us of an acorn - very autumnal)JORUN by Linda Svensson, $39.99; 2' 11" square

ANDREA RUND, $299; round, 7' 7" diameter

I like the round one!
i bought the large andrea circkel (rectangular) rug. it's made of wool, like these, and i have to say it's been a really nice, high-quality rug - it sheds, but it's very soft and does not look worn after lots of traffic. so i recommend them!
oops, the jorun rugs are not 100% wool, so i am speaking only on behalf of the andrea rugs i guess :)
I have the square Jorun rug. I had been looking for a round rug, but when I saw this, I realized it wasn't a specifically a round rug I needed just something equidistant on all sides. I love it so far (I've had it for 2 months).
I have the 'watermelon' one. Definitely changes the focal point of a room, and it's 'neutral' enough that you can build a lot of looks around it.
