Yesterday at noon, Wright held a new-to-their-lineup auction of Scandinavian Design. It featured "rare and outstanding works by designers such as Hans Wegner, Finn Juhl, Timo Sarpaneva, Poul Henningsen and Paavo Tynell". So, what were the pieces that garnered the big bids? Here are five that definitely did…

Shown above, left to right:

1. Elizabeth Chair by Ib Kofod-Larsen, Denmark, 1956. Estimate $5-7,000. Result: $22,500.
2. Armchairs by Finn Juhl, Denmark, 1945. Estimate: $10-15,000. Result: $22,500
3. Torchiere by Paavo Tynell, Finland, 1950. Estimate $7-9,000. Result: $18,750.
4. Wastepaper Baskets by P.S. Heggen, Norway, 1965. Estimate: $2-3,000. Result: $15,000.
5. Egg Chair and Ottoman by Arne Jacobsen, Denmark, 1958. Estimate $7-9,000. Result: $13,750

Anyone else wishing that they'd find any one of these at a garage sale this weekend?
