We got a tip from reader Miss Anthropology. She writes, I was recently looking around the Home Decorator's Collection website and came across a new line of furniture. This line, called Audra, is very mid-century modern with its tapered legs and clean lines...

Just thought I would pass this along to the AT community. I'm not sure of the quality of this furniture as I haven't seen it in person. However, I've heard good things from friends.

The pieces in the collection range from a $229 side table to a $2499 bedroom set, with most individual pieces in the under $500 range. Check out all the pieces here.
Thanks for the tip, Miss Anthropology!

The beginning of the end.
Compare the nightstand to the new indigo nightstand at UrbanOutfitters. Suspiciously similar. Even the measurements are the same numbers, although they differ on which they claim for h/w/d. Looking at the proportions of the Audra nightstand, are their numbers even possible? It looks much wider than deep.

what'd'ya wanna bet that Miss Anthropology (an at member for 2 weeks now!) is part owner of the company that makes these or the store that sells these?
No, sorry, I'm not an owner. But thanks for such a warm welcome loislane!
I am just a college student who likes the mid-century aesthetic. I prefer to buy vintage when I can. However, with it being so trendy these days, price usually gets in the way.
Sorry that I haven't joined up sooner. I've been a long-time reader and "lurker", yet I wasn't aware that I had to be an established member to submit a tip.
sambatrader--I, too, noticed the similarities of the UO nightstand. Very strange indeed.
See sitcomfurniture.com - on their website they call it the audrey collection.
I actually adore this collection. Reproductions are usually met with such disdain, but we can't all afford vintage or get our hands on our dream furniture. It's why I love ikeahacker and diy so much...you get the same style for less. I'm curious about the connection with the Urban nightstand, I've actually had the picture of that nightstand saved on my computer for some time since I liked it so much. If they're not related at all, what a blatant rip off..haha.
Does anyone know where one can find any discontinued items from the Audra Collection? It was discontinued in April 2009, and I would love to find the bookcase. If any has any suggestions, please do email! Thank you.
