Name: Audrey Claire
Location: Denver, Colorado
We live blocks from downtown Denver in a 550 square foot house built in the late 1800's. We have only one bedroom so the nursery nook is part of our master bedroom.
Our inspiration was nature, because we both love the outdoors. We chose a woodland theme and used trees and forest animals to decorate. Our biggest challenge was creating a beautiful, warm space that functioned well as a nursery.
Our nursery is very much homemade by friends, family, and ourselves. My husband built the room divider. The branch was found in our attic and I made the paper birds for the mobile. My husband and I both worked on creating and painting the tree. A close friend made the "Audrey Claire" name banner and painted the "A" on the dresser. The crib skirt and framed artwork are from Etsy artists. My mother-in-law sewed the blanket resting on the crib. A friend made the quilted owl on the shelf. The library consists of books given to us by family and friends; they also have personal notes written inside the covers. The dresser was found at an antique store and in pretty bad shape when we bought it, painted it and put in new knobs.
We are really proud and excited about how the nursery turned out and hope that our little Audrey will love it too!
