2012homesteadwatermelon.jpgI made a covered wagon out of a shoe box in the 4th grade and this project by the Dahls of Built By Kids reminded me of it. Theirs is a much tastier version.

Name: Genevieve (4)
Location: U.S.

My leaning toward natural parenting means that I am always focused on simplicity and environmental stewardship when it comes to family events and my children's milestones. This year at Genevieve's fourth birthday is the first time we have elected to throw her a party, wanting the party to be her idea and about what she wants as opposed to us. It was a great success!

Name: Wren (4) & Owen (17 months)
Location: San Diego, CA

We wanted to create a room that reflected our daughter's personality while staying somewhat gender neutral, since our kids will have to share a room eventually. I did not want to have to redecorate again when our son moves in with our daughter, all I want to do is add another bed!

Name: Lucy
Location: Toronto, Ontario

Lucy is our Little Miss Sunshine - she's funny, sweet and a very happy baby. hHaving a sunshine themed party seemed just right for her!

Name: Arlo Beckett
Location: Nashville, TN

This is Arlo's temporary home. When designing his nursery we knew that it had to fulfill two main requirements: it needed to be easy on the wallet and easy to move and set back up in a new home (my husband is finishing up his PhD, and we are unsure where we will end up next!).

2012FFcustomglasses.jpgCustom Family Glassware
• $12 each
Uncommon Goods

I feel like I spend half my day picking up random glasses around the houses and bringing them to the sink. So I was recently thinking to buy each family member a different looking glass (for water, primarily) that would be theirs for the entire day and these family glasses are a super cute option.
