You spend all your time and money pimping out your house with the hottest furnishings and most up-to-date tech you can find and how does Karma repay you? By making sure your expensive living room light fixture gets right in the way of your TV projection path.
One frustrated homedweller remedied his chandelier issue by mounting the light fixture to an FAC-kit-constructed track, creating "The Lampslide."
Although the project might look a little sloppy to those of us who cringe to see an exposed cord, it's a great starting point for those with the same problem to consider creating a DIY sliding chandelier themselves. Try painting the track and cord the same color as the ceiling, keeping the light fixture a contrasting color, and weighting the cable so it stays taught along the track when the lamp is in full-use position.
