In the minute and 21 seconds that it took for this video to play we had several reactions. The first being, "OMG, who would pay for that?!" The second being, "Ooooh... I could actually use one of those." Finally, remembering how much flak we got for using paper towels to begin with, buying a machine that dispenses them could be even worse! Is this home automation gone too far? Or does it seem like a helpful and easier way to dispense? Let us know below!
The Clean Cut paper towel dispenser and cutter retails for $129 from Hammacher Schlemmer. You can use any roll of paper towel you choose and although it at first seems silly, it could actually be helpful (even though it means taking up precious under-counter space).
We like that the technology exists to export a product to it and alter it's state upon our command, but we're not really sure this is the best use of it. It is however possible that homes that do still use paper towels (eco-friendly or not) might really appreciate a product like this, especially if your main use for them is in the kitchen or with children and you're worried about contamination issues. Is this something you'd use in your own home? Let us know why or why not below!
