Nook Transformed Into an Inviting Home Office for Two

We already love "before & after" projects plenty. But we like them even more when they deal with small spaces, especially home offices, where storage optimization and tech requirements can often be daunting. Here's a glowing example from our friends at Real Simple, showcasing the transformation of an awkward nook, into one cheerful place for a mom to do her bills and her daughter to finish her homework...

At the heart of the transformation, besides the soothing green walls, was one of our personal favourite resources for small space dwells: the ELFA wall system (we've got a small shelving system in our closet office and can attest the shelves can hold plenty of weight when properly installed). Side by side desks allow for two people to work, while the storage above keeps everything neatly in place without clutter. When challenged by space limitations, consider wall mounting as many elements as you can, including monitors and other accessories that can take up valuable surface or floor space (including underneath your desk if you've got a petite PC).

Remember to designate a "space for everything". If it doesn't have a place to be neatly stored, it doesn't belong in your home office!
