If you are looking for color, you could do no better than to stumble across
Babette Hirschberger's vivid paintings. Recommended by a reader, Babette is a
Florida native who switched careers to become a painter with success. Represented by
Cheryl Hazan Gallery here in Manhattan, her paintings are now collected by private and corporate entities alike. While they may seem to generic as artistic statements to some, they will work well with interiors needing a wakeup call.

Her work has an amazing color depth that works from yards or inches away, and makes the acrylics on linen and poplar blocks look like you could cut a slice from any one and the pigment would go all the way through.
All of her work is acrylic on wood panel and range in size from small (18x18) to medium (48x42) to large (84x108), so there really is a piece for everyone. (Thanks, P2!)
