Name: Baby Boy (due Dec.)
Location: Washington, D.C.
Color Inspiration: We love bright colors but also wanted to create a calm environment. We initially selected a soft gray, bright blue and lime green as the color palette. However, once we saw a horizontal branch used in a Blue Owl Nursery on Project Nursery we wanted to copy it exactly (and we did!). From there we incorporated yellow, orange and white throughout the room.
Tip for Using Color: Don't worry about things matching too well and let the color palette evolve as the room develops.
Colors Used: Behr Flint Smoke, Fire Island, Citrus Splash, Appletini and Glidden Caribbean Sea.
Thanks for your colorful entry Stacey & Brad and good luck!

THIS ROOM IS SHARP!!
i am COVETING that dresser!! I love what you did with it - was it easy to paint? Or is it colored in another way? I am just wishing we had space for it in our nursery... Oh well, maybe in another bedroom!
Perfect balance of colors! Love your space!
Great use of bright but soothing colors. It makes me want to be this lucky baby. Pampering ahead for him.
Love your baby's room! It is obvious a great deal of thought went into the lovely and serene environment you have created for your soon to be born son! Congrats!! We are thinking of you.
Love Aunt Tina
When we painted the dresser we did not sand or strip the Ikea wood first. Instead we used Zinsser brand BIN primer, which is shellac based, then painted with regular latex interior paint.
Can u say OMG! This room is amazing, loving it. Make me wish I was a baby all over again. The baby is going to love this calming and peaceful environment. Boy you guys did it up. I’m going to invite you all over to my house to update Skyi’s room. OMG, great job!!!
