In a moment of fearlessness, I volunteered to co-host a friend's upcoming baby shower. The last few weeks have meant more babies on the brain syndrome than usual. While surfing for shower ideas, I slammed on the brakes on seeing these delightful cookies.

This is beyond our skill level but a friend thinks she may be able to pull off something similar. I've never been able to find a good recipe for glossy icing that looks like this. It's always too runny to "draw" with, or not actually that shiny...any ideas, anyone?
Amber... there is a link to my recipe on the link she posted about for the cookies. If you use less milk you get a stiffer frosting which would be ideal for 'writing' with... add more milk to get a runnier frosting. You can always email me if you have any questions!

thankyou for posting this!!! i am throwing my sisters baby shower in may, were doing a hello kitty theme, because shes using hello kitty in the nursery and i wanted to make hello kitty cookie favors but needed good cookie and icing recipe! i hope they turn out half as good as these!
