We had so much fun scrolling through "broken" products at the This Is Broken website that we wanted to share some of the more home-oriented ones with you here. From a clothes drying rack to a computer monitor, these products just go to show that good design really does matter:

a clothes drying rack that cannot come into contact with wet clothes

a thermostatic control that gets the bath water a little too hot

an adjustable landscape/portrait computer screen that's an accident just waiting to happen

a mis-labeled shower head

Looking through these, we're reminded of a toaster we had in college. It was made specifically for Toaster Popups, though it toasted everything perfectly except Toaster Popups. They were too thin for the slots, falling down inside and burning every time. Do you have any badly-designed products around your house?
