Bamboozled II: Bamboo Sheets? Why Yes!

It must also be the year of the Bamboo Dog, because bamboo is now being used for things that were previously unimaginable. We've already seen bamboo take over veneers at Crate & Barrel and John Kelly, and now it's into bedding.

Touted as beneficial because bamboo is sustainable and not grown with pesticides, these sheets are called "hypoallergenic" and "far more breathable than cotton". There is some debate as to the benefits of bamboo, but with China behind most of the production, we may simply be in for it. Strangely, 100% bamboo sheets are not cheap.

Here's a list of what we've found so far:

  • 250 Thread Count 100% Bamboo Sheet Set at Shop ABC (From $60)
  • 300 Thread Count 60% Bamboo Sheet Sets at Target (from $40)
  • 310 Thread Count 55%/45% Bamboo sheets, duvets and shams at Gaiam (From $106)
  • 500 Thread Count 50% Bamboo Sheet Set at Boscov's (From $60)
