One of our favorite ways to add color to a room is with one big band of paint. It can have as much or more visual impact as painting all of your walls and feels fresh and confident.

Above are five examples to demonstrate this look either against neutral walls or to play off the wall color. It's also a clever way to give the illusion of height in a small or low room. We were especially interested to see the ways these homeowners integrated the stripe with the wall decor be it lights, art or shelving.
