The name struck us as funny when we learned about banjo countertops a few years ago. But now we just think of them as great space-savers in tiny bathrooms. They're named after the musical instrument because of their shape...

The photo up top is of a thick Corian top. The banjo leg appears to even house the water tank of the toilet. We love how the corian is completely integral from sink basin to soap holder.

If you're installing a banjo countertop yourself, just remember to check your toilet and be sure there's room to remove the top of the tank with the banjo leg installed.
