TOP ROW:
1. From Marina Replicates Her Boston Home.
2. Marina also has what appears to be a whiskey annex. I approve.
3. Rob has a covetable home bar in his Masculine Modern Condo.
4. Maker's Mark for drinking, National Geographic for a little leisure reading at Dean's Stylish & Social Greystone.
5. A small space, with room for a bar: Sarah's Supremely Stylish West Village Home.
BOTTOM ROW:
6. This bar is just another reason to be envious of Jessica & Jonathan's 'Like-Eich' Ranch.
7. A welcoming display at Kim & Scott's Chicago Condo.
8. An elegant bar cart at Edith's Cool, Calm and Collected U Street Apartment.
9. A bar cart spotted in the dining room of Nadia's Very Very Very Fine house.
10. And finally, a jumble of bottles seen in Susan's San Francisco Adventure for the Senses.

My biggest challenge for a new small (read tiny) flat in Vancouver BC. None of these work for me. I need an out-of-sight, out-of-mind vibe. Help.
Take a t.v. cabinet (the kind that comes in two pieces and has drawers on the bottom half), use the bottom half for a dresser in one room, use the top half for a bar. Place a mirror at the back of the top half (behind the shelving) to add some depth. Let me know if you need pictures. This is what I did with a t.v. cabinet my mom had. The doors to the cabinet hide everything out of sight pretty well.
Just before the holidays we created a bar in three shelves of an Ikea Billy bookshelf. We screwed wine glass hanging racks on two shelves and have bottles on the third. The three areas are backed by those handy Ikea stick on mirrors (30 x 30 cm). It catches the light nicely and has garnered many compliments from our visitors.
Love all of these examples. Reminds me of the old days...aka...the 1970s-80s...when having your liquor out in the open didn't mean worrying about what others might think. My parents always had a liquor cabinet...and a liquor bag they took with them on trips! Ha! So awesome.
Wait there's a 'Hackers' package solution.

I love 3; I'm not sure why so many people rip these out of homes nowdays. An extra sink always comes in handy, and they can look so freaking cool
Interesting the importance placed on liquor display/bar. Liquor bottles on display is extremely tacky. A few bottles of wine on a rack in the kitchen is fine. Actual hard liquor on display is again, tacky.
