Especially with cold nights right around the corner, we prize our home liquor cabinet. We like having it stocked and ready for our various moods and tastes and for any time a guest comes over.
Another great piece in this month's ReadyMade issue includes "Bar Hopper" (below), a peek at a narrow broom closet turned mirrored bar that "harkens back to the bygone era when hosts offered guests a stiff drink no matter what time of day."
Our cabinet is part of an old Grundig Majestic stereo; the bar is lined with mirrors and a light goes on when the radio is on (pictured here). We're curious how you store your scotch (or vodka, or bourbon). An antique liquor cabinet? Visible open bar? Rolling tiki cart? Modern shelving? We want to know how you store, display, and use your at-home bar. Feel free to send in photos, we'd love to see!

We have our small bar set up on a cabinet/shelf between the living room and dining room:

I apologize in advance for the photo quality—I took the photo at night using flash and have yet to sub in nicer photos for my set.
I've been trying to finish up a bar that we built-into a hallway closet.

I just purchased some glass cable shelves to install above the backsplash.
I have one of those skinny broom closets in my 1913 condo. But I turned it into a dish cupboard. I keep my liquor on the open part of my built in china cupboard. I love the idea of having it out on a sideboard or table for people to help themselves; I'll have to think about that one.
But...where do we all keep our brooms now? :-) [I keep mine in my mudroom back hall]
