Meg Crossley of Canadian House & Home shared a peek inside her own home with before and after shots of her basement renovation. It's a dramatic makeover from a typical underground space (shown above) to a warm and comfortable looking family room (shown below).

Meg's finished room has a dark floor, built-in bookshelves and, maybe most importantly, a whole new lighting design. Where an industrial-style florescent fixture once lit the room, it now is illuminated by a warm toned hanging fixture, wall sconces and modern recessed potlights.
