Apartment Therapy will be turning our focus to bathrooms and kitchens in March — and we had to jump the gun with this amazing bathroom of the Berkel family in The Netherlands. A new home designed by architect Paul de Ruiter, the design focuses on helping to bring the outdoors in — don't you love the little pond the immense bathroom hovers above?

The house looks nice, but I was disappointed to see there were no more pictures of shirtless dutch man :(
lu-uv this house.
WOW! This is now one of my top 10 weekend homes.
Please AT if you do this allow some of the bathrooms to be on apartment/condo level. I need some really good ideas, but if you show stuff like the above picture (which is nice) It won't help me.
I need storage ideas and colors for a windowless small bathroom.
wasn't this place in that J.Lo movie The Cell?
Weekend house? I want to live my entire life in that house -- fabulous!!!
wow. absolutely my dream house.
First, I want to see more of the shirtless man. Absolutely!
Secondly, I can't believe someone recalled JLo's movie, "The Cell." That movie was soooo horrifically bad that it ended up being actually fun to watch.
I thought "The Cell" was a pretty good movie. It was certainly beautiful visually. Tarsem (the director) has an amazing sense of design. Someone should blog about him and his other movie "The Fall"
Yes this is something amazing and if I could afford that I could afford the army of window cleaners.
Really stunning house.
I just noticed that hot tub that would need to be reworked for me. I appreciate the lid goes down so it disappears when not being used. However, I would be freaked out using it and thinking if it closed and being trapped.
These houses are lovely to look at, but I would feel so exposed in them, especially at night when I couldn't see out, but anyone outside could see in.
What a view, from either side of the window! ;^D
Gorgeous, but id feel too exposed and 'on show'
I love it! My guess is that they have no neighbors near them, so that's probably why they did that. My house is the same way, and I enjoy it :)
