We like having a clean
laptop. We like this so much that we give it a deep clean every week and wipe down the keyboard daily. While cleanliness is important to us, we are not made of money so we need to be thrifty in our pursuit of tidiness. Matter of fact, the tools that we use to keep our laptop clean and tidy may surprise some since they happen to be borrowed for our bathroom...
We were not kidding when we said we like to keep a tidy computer. After seeing too many machines deal with issues
arising from filth (also it's just gross) we keep our cleaning tools close by. Being geeks about wire management, we are also always on the lookout for cheap ways to get a grip on our cables and were pleasantly surprised when we found tools to clean and organize our laptop in our bathroom cabinet.
The tools we snagged:
- Cotton swabs
- Hair clips
- Bobby pins
The cotton swabs and tweezers are great for cleaning. We use the cotton swabs with a tiny bit of isopropyl alcohol to clean between the keys on the laptop. Tweezers are great for snagging tiny crumbs before they can get into the fan or under the keys. Fine pointed tweezers also work well for getting debris out from underneath the keys without having to remove the key.
The hair clips are very useful when it comes to cable management. We have a few cables that are just a teeny bit too long that like to wander and the clips are perfect for shortening the cable and getting it to stay put. Bobby pins are also handy for simple wire management and we often use them to keep our headphone cable untangled.
What are some unconventional tools you use to keep your laptop and workspace tidy?
