In the midst of cooler weather, we find ourselves waking up in the morning parched and needing lip balm. Even our sweet puppy usually goes straight for the water bowl. Humidifiers, however useful, are typically so, well, unattractive. This one breaks the mold.
This gorgeous contraption, "The Mast" (beware, the site is in Japanese...head to Collision Detection for a description in English) is an electricity-free humidifier. Living in an old Victorian, the cordless factor comes in handy, and we love the overall design. You simply pour a cup of water into the "boat" portion of the humidifier which is then drawn up into the wood "sails" and evaporated into the air. Supposedly, it evaporates six times as fast as a glass of water.
