The work of Big Timberworks in Montana is created using mainly salvaged wood. Looking through their portfolio, we also came across salvaged corrugated tin, rusted steel plate, and other materials that, when reused with care, bring an appearance of age and patina to a home:
My personal favorite is the patchwork quality of the home in the first pic up top: it's located in Montana's Paradise Valley, but inspires bringing a little bit of that materiality all the way to my own home.
These guys salvage wood sheathing and structural members from buildings all over the country. And because of that, they've got a story to tell. Check out more work, including the interesting back stories on lots of their sources, at Big Timberworks.
