If I didn't have room for bedside tables AND I had a low bed, I would rather just keep a little basket or box under the bed that I could keep my stuff in. But that would only work well if the bed is low enough for me to reach down to access the box while I'm in the bed.

The pockets would work well as long as you didn't try and over-stuff them AND you have a duvet or other type of bed spread that is fluffy enough that it would obscure the bulging of the pocket. if you use a thin bedspread or quilt then the bulging pocket could possibly drive you nuts.

i am going to go with "drive me insane." i make hospital corners on my bed and i can't stand it when everything is bulgy and uneven. i could see how this could work, but i couldn't handle it!

Hm...right now I have my bed a few inches away from the wall on one side, so I could tuck it there without it being at all noticeable. But by putting the bed close to that wall, I give myself plenty of room for a nightstand so I don't need it.

No, there are so many neater-looking alternatives to a bedside table. This looks messy to me.

No, not my thing. It reminds me of those things you can also hang on sofas which I also find kind of horrible. If you don't have space next to the bed you can always hang something on the wall.

I don't like it. Reminds me of a place to hang a catheter bag. Sarah Richardson sewed a lovely linen one on Room Service and at the time I thought way too much trouble. Basket under the bed would work fine.

Glasses in a pocket along with a book? You're just begging for scratches and damaged frames, or forgetting where the glasses are in the first place.

Man, where do you guys keep your diamond shoes? Apparently none of y'all have ever lived in a studio apartment. This is a great idea. Not messy unless you stuff it with pine cones and chicken feed.

My kids had the first one shown for their beds, and it just never worked well - we took them off after a few weeks. If there was too much stuff in there they pulled down and looked overstuffed, and if there wasn't much in there they weren't used very much. Also, making beds with them was definitely a pain in the butt, and they always made an otherwise clean room look untidy to me.

However, I like the idea that someone gave of having it on the side of the bed that is close to the wall - that way you couldn't see it, and magazines or small books (or other essentials) would have a place to be within reach but out-of-sight.

I kinda like the idea of the sheet with pockets.....but the only thing I can think of to put in there would be my phone.

We used one in our old place where the bed was literally shoved up next to the door on one side. My husband needed a place for his glasses and a book. Worked perfectly.

Not the prettiest but definitely functional.

Messy beds give the linens room to breathe - made up beds harbor bed bugs. So embrace the mess.

My platform bed is on casters, so it frequently moves a bit. I wouldn't be posting at AT if I didn't like to rearrange stuff all the time, right? This week the bed is blocking the exterior French doors as we chase the moon.

This idea may work - right now my casterized bedside table tries to follow the bed around, but it's more of a potential shin barker in the dead of night than the mobile bed itself is.

My very active kitten would either shred this or sleep in it.
