We were recently introduced by our dear mom to bed skirt pins - corkscrew shaped tools used to (you guessed it) hold your bed skirt in place. At first the idea seemed a bit too Martha Stewart...
who we love by the way, but sometimes takes things about five unnecessary steps too far. Now back at the homestead, though, we can't help but notice how our simple bed skirt sags a bit here and is a little off center there. This glowing review didn't help either, and now we're wondering if bed skirt pins are one of the keys to a sharp-dressed bed. What say you? Is this another piece of unnecessary plastic or a most helpful tool for the bedroom? How many of you are hearing of bed skirt pins for the first time here?

Never heard of these before---
---but if you must, why not just use the pins out of the new dress shirts you just bought at the store?
Take short sewing pins, add a little twist with pliers, and you are good to go. And, yes, pinning is a very good thing.
I have used these and they are fantastic!
Funny story -- I recently moved, and forgot that these screw in, so I was ripping them up and trying to pull them out -- sooo hard to do! The trick was remembering to unscrew, not just yank -- then they came out easily!
I bought a gorgeous bed set from Yves Delorme and the bedskirt was just that - a skirt. Less than two feet high and long enough to reach around three sides of the bed. The only way to attach it to the bed was to use these corkscrews that were included with the bedskirt. It was a pain to put on, but it didn't go anywhere after it was "installed".
I thought they were upholstery pins? My mom always used to have it on her furniture back in the 70s.

We're screwing them into the mattress.
Scratch that; box springs. We're screwing them through the bed skirt into the box springs and topping with the mattress.
Huh, so what do you do if you don't use a box spring?
these are totally upholstery pins... and I really need them for my sloppy bedskirt.

I heard about these for the first time here, and the next day I went to Bed Bath & Beyond and got 'em. These are exactly what my sloppy bedskirt needed! I just can't believe how much difference these small pins make. My whole bedroom look much nicer with the nice, tidy, crisp bedskirt. Now Bedskirt Pins are officially one of my bedmaking essentials along with the Comforter Clips and Sheet Straps. Thank you for introducing this!!
