I love furniture makeovers that make minimal changes for huge impacts. This couch re-do does just that, taking it from old and a bit tired to vintage chic. Check it out after the jump.

By simply removing the skirt, and doing a little repair to the frame after a bit of an accident the folks over at Brick City Love have modernized this sofa with minimal effort.
Just revealing the lovely tapered legs of the piece took it out of the 1970s and now it fits perfectly into their well designed home.

Perfect! I never realized it would be so easy to remove a skirt!!
Terrific!
Congrats; major improvement!
Mhm. Taking a bad picture of the 'before' also makes the very very simple 'after' look even better. Lol.
Love it though -- I love the shape of the sofa.
Thanks for the love!
Not gonna lie...I love just about anything tufted and velvet. Gorgeous.
Sorry, now the proportions just look off.
I had an icy green like this one. The best part is the frame on these are very lightweight if you want to just put a cover it is simple and make it longer. It is worth it with the light weight frames to save the piece. I like the chairs that go with these too. Very sturdy to sit on as well.
