Not every thrift shop "score" is a victory because it's shiny and new (and, hopefully, cheap). Sometimes the best finds are treasures with amazing makeover potential - like this ho-hum dollhouse just begging for some life and color.
Kiki of Kiki Creates, gave this thrifted dollhouse quite a makeover for her daughter. Each room was lovingly papered and decorated and even the roof was "re-shingled" with small pieces of paper.
This giant dollhouse (it's almost 6 feet tall!) is now a thing of beauty thanks to Kiki's tender, loving care. Head over to Kiki Creates to see many more photos of all the sweet details.

Now I just feel guilty about the ugly dollhouse in my living room waiting to be rehabbed.
My mom built a dollhouse for me and my sisters when we were young. Seeing this post brings back so many gret memories and also makes me want to redo the dollhouse for my daughter. Thanks for the inspirationl.
That is wonderful!
Adorable!
Where can I find more projects like this? I love it!
Oh my gosh what an amazing find! So great! If only those little balloons could last forever. Way to go!

So pretty!
Oh, it's so freaking sweet! And the balloons! It looks just like the little house from Up! It is it completely spastic that I sort of want to cry a little! (yes...) Awesome work!
Love the wallpaper! And a very nice touch with the balloons!
So inspiring and I love your wall papers. You've inspired me to do the same!
Six feet tall? Wow! I wonder where you could get appropriately sized furniture.
