Here is a just-for-fun holiday "Before & After" post to help kick off the weekend in a feel good way. Kids at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis have a life-size gingerbread house to play in and enjoy this season at their holiday party…
… thanks to the talented teams at AOL's Shelter Pop, Kitchen Daily and DIY Life.
The 6 foot high plywood structure was designed and built by DIY Life's Brian Kelsey and then covered in plenty of graham crackers (standing in for gingerbread) as the bricks of choice combined with lots of royal icing, lollipops, twizzlers, peppermints and gummies.
They painted the inside walls with chalkboard paint so the kids at the hospital could get inside and add a bit of their own decorating style to the festive structure.
