When Sarah and her husband first spotted this cabin it was in need of a major facelift. They fell in love with the structure and the land and only saw the potential this little beach gem had to offer. Follow me after the jump to see their vision come to life…

Living full-time in a very colorful LA home, Sarah wanted their cabin getaway to be bright, white and fairly spartan. She and her hubs gutted the entire cabin and did all the work themselves.

It took them five months to pull this reno off. And to their delighted surprise, they came in under half their estimated budget. Looks like it was a win-win situation all around.

Nomade Express Slee...
Those dining chairs are stunning! Great job.
love seeing this. beautiful aesthetic!
My eyes are more rested just looking at these pics!
I also love their new floor.
Love it! Congratulations on the budget.
LOVE!. When can I move in? =)
nicely done! love the ceiling.
I love it
The floor is very nice and I'm wondering if it might be vinyl planks . . . ?
LOVE this- I bet they do a mean christmas tree!
I love how big of an impact reframing the windows had! Awesome job!
I like the improvements but just looking at the after pics hurt my eyes...way too white for me.
Im always a fan for painting it white. Any space that looks like its tobacco stained can only benefit from a couple gallons of paint.
@lazy_lurker - I think the floor is that vinyl stick down stuff
I had the same thought. Maybe a laminate like this? http://www.lumberliquidators.com/ll/c/Vintner's-Reserve-Laminate-Dream-Home-St.-James-12VR-S/10023865
About to do my kitchen with something similar, I hope it looks as good as this!
Spectacular work. I love all the white and wood tones. Black as an accent color was a great touch.
Light, bright, comfy and stylish - love it.
this is really nice, especially the details like the ceiling
Wow, lucky you! how gorgeous!
Lovely floors. What a beautiful, rich color!
Love that updated kitchen! It looks like they just painted the counters, put on a butcher block and added some simple subway tile, but the end result is great!
Nice, what a cool, soothing space! I also like that nothing was too stylized and kept neutral....to me, that's the key to being able to redo things in ten years as your tastes change. That's the ultimate good budget decision!
Wow,what a difference! I crave that dining table and chairs!
LOVE it! Everything about the re-do looks great. Terrific job!
since it was a cabin I would have gone w/a more traditional kitchen table and chairs-maybe a repurposed old door with vintage chairs-like the set they used just not with the rest of the space decor
