Leslie loves to reupholster furniture and found this little chair at an estate sale for ten bucks. Although it had a great shape, it was in a sorry state, with stains on the old fabric. After Leslie stripped it down and rebuilt the springs and padding, it sat in her garage until the right fabric came along.

Inspired by the color combination of lavender and citron, Leslie decided a Manuel Canovas toile was the perfect fabric to give the chair new life. She also switched it up a bit, by removing the skirt pleats, to make it more streamlined and current.

It's almost completely blocked by an ad. Really annoying.
i have a chair just like this that i'm dying to recover! love the change on the skirt.
You did an amazing job! I really like that the skirt of the chair is flat now, rather than pinched pleats, giving it a more modern look.
My goodness, that's amazing! I want to learn how to do that!
Perfection.
Leslie, can you give us an idea of how much the fabric cost, and how much it cost to complete this project? (No price list on the Canovas website.)
lovely!
Lovely work! I'm always so happy to see someone with skill and vision save something from the landfill! Keep up the great work!
