Ann and her husband bought two IKEA Aneboda dressers to hold their mounting collection of baby items but once assembled they decided they were not fans of the translucent fronts that revealed everything inside. What to do? Add a bit of fabric Ann decided.

Voila! A quick, easy and affordable fix. Ann chose a Joel Dewberry fabric (Herringwood in Lake) and tackled this project in an afternoon "even with my 30-minute belly adjustment period" for an outlay of about $20. If you want to give this a try, Ann wrote up instructions on her blog The Gravy Train (where she also writes about cooking, travel and crafts!).

great job. the before was not so great. but the after is amazeballs!
S'okay. Maybe they should have just exchanged the dresser once they assembled the first one. Reminds me of this project I pinned: http://pinterest.com/pin/328351176/

I've always kind of assumed that the plastic panels on the entry-level IKEA furniture were meant to be covered or replaced with something more interesting. Even in the catalogs they show a lot of this stuff customized with fabric or paper.
$20 can get you a cute new dresser off Craig's list :)
Love the fabric choice. I've never been a huge fan of the Aneboda, but it looks a lot nicer with the fabric inserts.
