Ok, so when I first saw this before picture I thought, 'nice couches' they could use a few pillows but besides that what could they possibly do to them....

And this is what they came up with. I personally liked the couches in the before shot and wouldn't have thought to change them, but I have to give major kudos for the duo at Rancho Reubidoux for having the vision and guts to take this on.
With a few bottles of paint and a couple hours of labor they have turned their plain white couches into a very graphic and unique urban-esque environment.

I don't prefer the white but I definitely don't prefer the painted version. I guess I just wish they were a different color altogether!
Very cute!!!
I agree with Pi. I like the white and the designs, but I think I'd still prefer another color in that space.
Very fun graphic! It is a lot more modern than my taste, but I like that it was done with gusto!
What I would love to see is a few pillows, just since the backs are so low. Possibly in yellows and orange to go with the sweet aqua.
As much as I'd like to say they did a really great paint job (which they did), I feel like they could have accomplished the same thing with a nice slip cover. That way they can always go back to the nice clean white look.
I admire their paint job but I'm personally not a fan of the after. I can see how it ties into the aesthetic of the rest of the patio... I think.
I like the 2nd picture, but not too fond of the painted version either. I think, adding some colored throw blankets would work as well. =) but, oh I love that long table!
Oh. It's really cute!
Geez, if they wanted something that would appeal to EVERYONE they would have left them white!
Wasn't this featured a few months ago?
So fun! Would never have thought of this either, but what a great idea... I have some cushions that go on my outdoor sofa, and I have been tossing around the idea of buying some really expensive outdoor fabric to re-make them in a fun pattern (they are a natural canvas colour now)... maybe I will buy some cheap fabric paints instead, and see what I can come up with! At the very least it will get me through one more season before shelling out for new ones!
creative.
I think it's awesome!
i dig it...but how does well does painted furniture hold up?
Looks good but I don't really see how it goes with the other stuff on the porch.
SUPER COOL. LOVE THE AQUA COLOR.
