The poor teachers of today — we ask them to put up with a whole lotta guff from the youth of America, and yet we give them teacher's lounges that are anything but comfortable. I mean, just look at that before photo above. So sad!

Enter designer, blogger, and all around handsome fellow, Brian Patrick Flynn, to bring a little class and style to this teacher's lounge. Brian teamed up with a few sponsors to overhaul teacher's lounges in the Northeast, just in time for back-to-school. This new space, with its pops of yellow (which totally remind me of No. 2 pencils) is a refreshing change from the sad little hovel that existed before.

Check out all the details on this project — along with lots and lots of gorgeous photos — on Brian's blog — Decor Demon: After School Special.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Holy cow! Must be nice :)
It's nice to do things like this for the people who do so much for our children. Everyone deserves happy surroundings.
PLEASE come fix the teacher's lounge at my school!!
Applad White at it's finest!
It's about time someone paid attention to this sorry cliche of a rest and recovery room. I hope this becomes a trend, it's long overdue! Our teachers deserve better.
my mother works at a public school and the entire thing is drab and dark. everyone who works or attends the school as a student deserve better! I wouldn't want to go there day in and day out! This lounge looks great and cheerful!
i want to see a pic of what it looks like this time next year.
LOL @Loislane.
My first thought was it looks great, my second was how long were those yellow mugs going to last?
There's nowhere to sit and chat and decompress....
