When Casey bought a condo in the Minneapolis loft building where he had been renting, he transferred his luxurious style to his new home. Luckily for us, he had the foresight to snap some before pics so we could witness the transformation ...

Casey's Loft Life house tour was a highlight of my summer house tours last year. When I heard from Casey that he was moving to a new, larger unit in the same building, I was anxious to see how he would transfer his style to his new home. Just one word describes that transfer: seamless.

I would describe Casey's style as industrial glam, a look that works really well in this loft building. While the condo was a mish-mash of colors and styles under the direction of the previous owner, Casey has brought a cohesiveness to the unit. His dark gray color palette and mix of vintage and upcycled furnishings bring a glamorous style to his home.
Congratulations on your new home, Casey. We can't wait to see the full house tour!

wow! It's so refreshing. I love what you did!
Love it!
Wow, what a transformation from blah to sophisticated!
Very pretty. I bet tons of people in your building would love to learn from what you did!!
I like your aesthetic and your flow/layout is remarkable. Thank you for sharing!
I have to say I liked the other apartment better. Both are just gorgeous though!
Wow.. love this, wish we could see more. What's in the "box" to the left of the sleeping area? Is it the bathroom and a closet?
I love, love this space.
love the transformation..someone has a good eye for design...
Really great, stylish and livable at the same time!
What's that lighter grey on the walls? Or, do readers know of a similar color? It would be perfect for the kitchen in the apartment I'm moving into this summer...
crayfish, not sure if you are thinking of the same one but there was a space with a similar looking grey wall to divide the sleeping area. I remember it because I loved that entry, but it was different, it was a female and she had a beautiful dresser on one side of it.
I actually love the idea of that separating wall.
What a great transformation. Like the black wall and how it separates the bedroom. Congratulation on the new purchase.

Great job. Lovely.
Love it. House tour, please!
great job....looks wonderfully comfortable
Thanks everyone! yes, I did enter into the small cool contest. A full house tour will be up shortly. the lighter grey is "neutral grey" by Ralph Lauren
wonderful transformation
Beautiful. Love the wall separating the sleeping area and especially love the light fixture in the dining area. Did you make that out of a pipe? Can't wait to see full house tour.
I absolutely love them both. I like the blue and gray walls on the upgrade even better. Not knowing it was the same person, when I saw this aprtment on small cool I remembered seeing a similar one before. I guess you show through. Congrats.
Amazing how a few mood lights can really lift the place. Love the new colour scheme also!

Casey's loft caught my eye, and was one of few reasons I STARTED staying tune to AT last year - glad to 'see' his smartness being mentioned here once more. All Hail great ideas !
very nice change.! cozy and comfortable.!
Loved it!Waiting for the rest!

Ooooh, very nice!
Lovely! Can't wait for more pictures!
Love the dining room chandelier. Where is it from?
I loved this apartment in the Small/Cool contest (if that's where I saw it and not just a general tour), and it's awesome to see that it was actually something very different before! Love the "after." Great job!
And I totally might steal the shelf/side table idea. Fabulous.
Ooooooh! I want your coral lamp - I want your chandelier -- I want those mirrors above your bed -- if I keep looking or see the rest of the place, I'm sure I'll have to add to the list! I like-y!
preferred the before!
Definitely I like so muuuuch more the after. I really don´t understand why some people like the before more, but obviosly I respect.
I would like to see your whole apartment. You have a blog where you have more photos?
What a great space with a lot of personality. I have the same coral lamp with the base in orange and it's my favorite thing in my entire apartment. It's so funny to see it all classed up in white when I'm used to being a fun, eccentric piece in orange.
*I apologize in a misunderstanding I am leasing to own my new space.
Very nice! Is Minneapolis the new cool place to live? It seems like there were a lot of entries from there in Small Cool this year.
love love
Minneapolis is the always cool place to live. Anyway. Smarty pants points for painting that chunk of wall dark. Makes it disappear more, if that makes any sense. Any case. I mean it looks nice!! :-)
I can't figure out why dark red and sage green accent walls dominate condos in Mpls- especially in the North Loop. But thank goodness for Casey! Beautiful renovation!
I just checked out his website. Casey's every bit as good-looking as the apartment.
Thanks everyone! Full tour coming soon...and fuzzyEgg extra thanks to you. ha!
great change. where did the bedside tables come from?
