Jackpot! Stumbling upon a piece of fix-it furniture that has potential is one of the best feelings. Your creative energy starts pumping and you can't stop thinking about how amazing it'll look after you work your magic…

That's how Marie, from Whole Lotta Lovely felt when she and her husband stumbled upon two broken down outdoor chairs. Her husband begrudgingly put them in the car and they headed home while she thought of all the different possibilities to give new life to these run down chairs.
First, Marie decided on paint colors and got to work right away. Bright pink and yellow are obviously great choices for outdoor furniture and it certainly wouldn't be very difficult to find fabric to match. She stayed true to the style of the chair and went for a simple yet colorful striped fabric. If you put the before and after next to each other you'd have no idea it was the same chair!

I love this before and after! It's amazing what a little elbow grease and paint can do to transform someone else's trash.
My husband had a similar reaction when I informed him we were taking home a discarded, paint splattered stool. Luckily he's come around now that he's seen the finished result.

I love this! We're hoping to turn our drab teensy urban backyard into a colorful groovy space. I'm super inspired!
Really impressive! The chairs look great; I wish I had that kind of talent!
Yup, great job.
Your chairs look sweet. Director's chairs are just such a wonderful design.
