I'm a definite fan of reupholstering, as evidenced by this chair in my living room. So I was thrilled when Jan DiCintio of Daisy Janie emailed us her new reupholstering project: a set of two sitting chairs she had recovered with her own organic cotton/hemp blend canvas Annika Avalon fabric. Such a beautiful improvement!
She says over at her blog:
Until now, I've never given myself the privilege of indulging in this much of my own design work at one time, and it feels pretty, pretty cool! When the upholsterer unloaded them from his truck today, I was in full-on-happiness-runneth-over mode and his craftsmanship did not let me down!
You can purchase the Annika Avalon fabric at Daisy Janie's Etsy shop for $56/yd. Make sure to check out the rest of her organic fabric as well.
Thanks, Jan!

$56/yd! Whoa!
Very nice before and after but I'm with *clampers* on this one: Whoa!
I've done reupolstry of a chair like the first one before. It took almost 6 yards of fabric and I didn't actually make a cover for the chair cushion. My math skills (ha!) tell me we're looking at about $560 worth of fabric?!? Is this right? Eeep! My _paychecks_ aren't that big!
