Sarah and her husband Charles bought a 1902 American foursquare a couple of years ago. Since the house originally belong to his grandmother, its restoration became a labor of love for the couple, even though it was in terrible condition. As Sarah says "Our back porch was literally falling off of the house when we bought it. Soffits were completely rotted and railings had been long forgotten. Oh, and the stairs to the basement? Non-existent..."

And this is what it looks like today! After painting the entire porch, Sarah started sprucing up the space and adding decorative touches to make it more fun and vibrant. There is now seating on both levels and a place to hang out when the weather is nice.
