As far as before-and-afters go, getting that party bumper sticker off this dresser would be satisfying enough. But wait. There's more.

After Ann Marie kicked the bumper sticker to the curb, which was no easy task, she gathered her paint and whipped out her projector. To find out more about how she turned this rather drab college dorm look into something so much more bold and fun visit her at Twice Lovely.

It's very nice (and the sticker removal is a definite improvement). I can't help thinking, though, that the After looks like a teenage girl's room.
Wow!! How lovely and unexpected.
I love it. I could do without the shabby chic'ing, but everything else is perfect!
Lovely. I don't get 'teenage vibes" from the after at all, at all.
Nice!!! At first I also thought the stencils were a little overkill, but if you try and picture it in a similarly-designed room (very white/light, delicate designs) it seems very mature, clean, if just a touch feminine. I like it!
Oh my goodness I love that!
A+ BRAVO :)
LOVE!!!
Love the way the stencils mimic the handles!
that sticker indicates that this dresser has spent some time in the Phoenix metro area! Man! I haven't seen one of those stickers in AGES! :D
I wasn't expecting that but I like it.
The stencil sort of mimics the drawer handle design, I think if this is your style its perfect, great job.
I L I K E IT!
Nice job! I like innovative paint jobs like this!
Amazing transformation of original hardware. Great job!
I got the teenage girl vibes, but in a good way. Great job.
I do get the teenage vibes and it isn't really for me as a result, but it looks pretty well done and I'd have gone absolutely apeshit for this when I was 19, so it definitely works.
Ironically I first misread this to mean that the finished dresser was going into a college dorm... and it would be utterly perfect for that. It'd be the coolest, most stylish dorm on campus.
But for a home for a family of six... it's too overdone.
Love it! Didn't think you could change my mind about those original handles..I tend to hate them. but they look great, too!
Definitely a stylish statement. It'd be great to see it a room.
LOVE
Nice job on the dresser! It looks like it had great bones to begin with. However, I agree with several comments about the teen room, accept I would maybe say younger (10-14 years old).
So are, the best of these dresser makeovers yet! Great job, great look, very well executed. Bravo! I wish it were mine... :o)
That was a nice Ethan Allan dresser &, in my opinion, should have stayed unpainted.
so so beautiful! a lot of work went into that and it is a huge improvement. i think it could be used in a variety of spaces and places- i can see it in an eclectic dining room as a sideboard, or in a nursery as a changing table- just depends on how you decorate around it!
Great Job! I love when someone re-purposes a great piece like this.
