Inspired by the faux snakeskin tables she had seen on her blogroll, Emily decided to recreate the look on a budget. Using an old set of plastic stacking tables and simple, inexpensive materials she managed to create a chic console table with classic Parsons lines.
With some affordable fabric, ModPodge, and patience, Emily transformed this Goodwill find from eyesore to eye-catching. If snakeskin is not your thing, this project would also work with other punchy, patterned fabrics, or you could consider using grasscloth to replicate the textural Parsons pieces in West Elm's newest collection. And if you aren't lucky enough to stumble upon modular pieces like these in your local Goodwill, you can replicate the look with a new, but similar option.
