Zee from Homebug posted a photo story of her garden makeover. With help from her husband the garden was completely transformed over the long weekend. The before picture of the 700 sq ft garden is from last year after they cleared out all the junk and removed 6 ft tall weeds. They also leveled the ground and seeded the lawn in November in preparation for landscaping. Check out the results of their hard work after the jump...
They constructed bed frames, laid out gravel pathways, and created steps leading to the lawn area. Blue Fescue, Cabbage Palms, Buxus shrubs, and Morning Glory fill the planters. They lined the left side of the garden with trees and shrubs and installed a willow screen on the right side to add privacy and to cover the neighbor's ugly fence. As a final touch they repainted an old bench for the lawn area. The garden and the back of house are still work in progress, but the garden looks so much better already.
