We got a sneak peek into Greg and Ashley's bathroom remodel back in April, when the couple was still in the thick of the project. After checking in on their progress, we discovered that the bathroom is now ready for a full unveiling!

Greg and Ashley have been tracking the progress of their house renovation on their blog 7th House on the Left. When we peeked in at their bathroom last April they had just finished ripping out all the old stuff and installing the new tile and vanity. It took the couple a year of slowly working on the project themselves but it looks like it was totally worth the wait (and hard work).

The original bathroom was dark, cramped and dated. Greg and Ashley remedied this by busting out a linen closet, thereby making the bathroom a little bigger &mdash big enough for a new double vanity. They also kept the new bathroom looking light with the addition of new tile floor-to-ceiling tile.
All told the bathroom overhaul came in at just over $8000, which includes all new plumbing, fixtures, and hardware.
Take a look at the full project details on the couple's blog — 7th House on the Left.

well done. love the tile going up the walls. it feels very calm and open and fresh. what about the tub? did they update that too?
I love everything! Especially the towel shelves between the sinks.
Love the tile going all the way up the walls. Very swank.
Beautiful!
Personally, I lived for so long without a linen closet of any kind that I could NEVER bring myself to remove one, but perhaps this one was only used for towels and 'other.'
Very good use of the space! It's definitely a hotel type look, which is not my taste, but it looks very high-end and I think you did a great job. One thing that looks a little off to me now is the window and its old-fashioned molding. It looks like part of the old bathroom and doesn't really fit the new style. It looks like you modified it some at the bottom but I think you could go further.
It's gorgeous! $8000 is a lot to me for a guest bathroom, but to each his/her own.
I love the floor-to-ceiling tile.
Agree about the tiles - May have to borrow this idea :)
very elegant
I love the look, but can't get a handle on what kind of tile it is - it looks like stone. Does anyone know? We are redoing a bathroom, and would love to look into using something similar. Thanks!
Found it! For anyone who's interested, it's a matte finish ceramic tile called Sabbia Dorato by American Olean.
looks great, this is almost the same layout as my bathroom except our toilet is beside our vanity, and we will removing a closet in the same spot to make the bathroom bigger, kind of nice to see what ours will look like in the future- long and narrow- but stylish!
LOVE!
I see what you did there.
I've the same tile in my bathroom, and after trying to find something to do with it, I shall borrow your palette.
I really like it! I'm not sure about the utility of double sinks for a hallway bathroom, but to each his own. I'm sure if you have multiple guests staying over that they will like it. Plus $8000 is not that much to spend on a bathroom considering everything was replaced.
Beautifully done. I recently stayed at the Dom Hotel in Cologne and they had done a similar treatment with stone tile. It seems that wrapping a finish in small spaces can expand the room (especially if there are lots of angles and small walls).
It may be the angle and the lighting in the photo but it seems that the ceiling is painted a bright white while the rest of the whites in the room are creamy or ivories. I would suggest that the ceiling and any other bright white trim be painted a creamier color to complement the tile. It will help "wrap" the wall finish to the ceiling and diminish the "unpainted plaster" effect.
Looks great! Removing that linen closet is definitely worth it, made the space feel bigger. and I love how the mirrors are resting on the counters.
