Jamie of C.R.A.F.T is not only crafty when it comes to creating, but also gets gold stars for repurposing and organizing. This before and after that she's shared with us for Home Projects month shows off a little bit of all three - she took a $2.99 shelf and ended up with a great, space-saving wall hung craft organizer...

Jamie tells us: I needed a place to keep all of the office and craft supplies. My desk organizer was over loaded. As an avid Good Will shopper, I walked in one day and found this country knick knack shelf for $2.99. I thought, "This is perfect!", and brought it home for a little TLC.
We used a hammer to take out the curved pieces, installed a dowel for ribbon, and spray painted the entire thing grey. I bought small glass containers at Good Will for .59 cents a piece, and hung the shelf on the wall. Good Will is a great place to find inspiration on a budget!

White Enamel Four-P...
Terrific After photos! I love the color and it looks perfect in that space. :)
This is a great reuse project, and I love the dowel for the ribbons. Thank you for the inspiration.
I had to click on this post just because the before picture was hideously 80's "crafty." I had to see what you did with THAT.
You did well! Looks good with your gorgeous desk.
love the remake of 80s country...goodwill is great for remaking storage.
love the desk painted the same gray.
Andrea said it all ~ great job!
Oh funny, I see shelves like that all the time and always think Ugh! Now I think I'll pick one up next time I see one!
I would have just walked right past that shelf and said "hell no!"
But what you did with it is great :) Love the color.
Thank you for the sweet comments! The picture of my craft room is scary! I think I did a few too many edits :) I just ran upstairs and took some better pics! My room is NOT taxi cab yellow...and although, I'm not in love with the wall color it is at least cheery :)

It takes real talent to see something usable beyond the Kountry Kraft exterior. And it serves a purpose, looks great, and has been upcycled. This rocks!
LOVE! I really love how cohesive it looks with everything else, defintiely know what my office needs! Thanks for the inspiration!
Nice!!
I thought there was no way you could do anything remotely stylish with that ugly shelf...but you did! I can usually envision a makeover but was so sure this shelf was beyond help - thanks for the inspiration.
Way to see the potential! Lovin the before & after posts too. It's something we need to have more of. Not just in AT, but everywhere.
yay Jamie!!!
