We got into a discussion a few days ago about how decorating your home can be a lot like fashion: trends come and we get inspired to see how we can introduce them into our home. Abby's advice? "You don't want to introduce too many trends at once--in either your home or your wardrobe!" Which is why we are loving Jet Guer's evolving bedroom: By changing just a few things in his bedroom, he punched up the luxury factor with the help of some new bedding.
Who knew a twin bed could be so glamorous? We love the dreamy addition of the sheer curtains with the rich texture of the dark velvet quilt and pillows.
Guer found the perfect bed linens at Pottery Barn after searching for several months. "[I] immediately bought the whole set. I usually don't buy whole sets because I like to mix things up, but this set was made to go together." Love the monogram--it adds a nice touch of old-school luxury.
Guer listed a few words that inspired his new bedroom style: "Tropical, calm, revitalizing, fresh, preppy, cool, cozy."

I think this looks great. I'm jealous of this mostly because twin bedding is so much cheaper than a king.
I am putting some curtains up this weekend much like those in the photo. Where did you get the rod and the supports to attach them to the ceiling? Thanks!
the light over the bed looks really low... how does one not hit their head?
Are those two hat boxes as a nightstand? Lovely!
Looks sharp! Well done.
looks lovely...however i am not a fan of that 90s swirl track lit flush mount....but the nightstand is really great and the bed looks like a little piece of heaven!
Funny, I prefer the before, although they are both nice
I do like this bed and wonder if anyone knows the source?
At first I thought it was a day bed but upon closer inspection it looks as if it is a traditional one with the headboard where the foot board would normally be and just pillows for a "headboard"??? If so it's an ingenious placement!
Ditching the zebra rug was totally the way to go, great job! It's really hard for me to tell from the pics whether or not it could just be the angle of the photographs, but if you actually lowered the pendant over the bed and raised the hatbox sidetable, then I am impressed!
