You may remember Kiel's water closet featured during bathroom month. His latest project included revamping his foyer. We loved it so much we had to show the "after" first and foremost. Click below for more (including the before shot):

That wallpaper reminds me of the tabletops at Wendy's...
Ha! I was just going to say that this makes me hungry for hamburgers because Wendy's used to have something similar in their restaurants back in the day...
I really like it, though!
I think I would have almost liked it better if he had kept the wall color from before and just painted the door frames. But I'm just generally not a fan of super busy wallpaper, so to each her/his own!
The before shot was MUCH better.
HAHAHAHA :):)
The wallpaper is actually 1940's Newsprint/Ads. The wallpaper store in my neighborhood was going out of business, and I was able to keep this project very cheap!
I wasnt planning on doing this project, but it came about because the old plaster was buckling and crumbling, so I started over and decided to make the Foyer a statement.
Thanks for the comments.

I like what you have done. The chartreuse paint that you used around the door frames is beautiful. It makes a bold statement in a small area. The foyer is the perfect place for that wallpaper, because a whole room of that would be overwhelming, but in the foyer it works. Great job!
It is much better after.... The before looks too much like design on a dime... The after shows individuality and creativity.
I agree with kathyh and Daily Nuance, before was much better. Are those antlers from jackalopes?
They are Deer Antlers.
Before is better...
This type "wallpaper" was also big in the 60's....Sears Wishbook reprint style.
where's that chair from!?
heyheykatielady
Chair is CB2 ....only 119.00!
Also to the negative people who commented....
This site is to appreciate design and peoples efforts....not to leave rude comments on articles. Have some manners.
Kiel, I like both the before and after. Both are distinctly different and equally fabulous. It is great to see someone having fun by changing things up!
