Rick and Jessie moved into their home just two short months ago with a small budget but huge plans. Luckily, DIY is their idea of a good time so they weren't afraid to really dig in to save "some moolah."
Jessie breaks down their process:
We knocked down major walls separating the kitchen from the rest of the home, updated the electric (Rick is an electrician) and plumbing, installed new hardwood flooring, replaced all the upper and lower cabinets and added a butcher block island. We added stainless steel appliances, soapstone countertops (we left this to the pros), and installed a subway tile backsplash as well as recessed lighting, pendants, and under-cabinet lighting throughout.
The entire renovation came in just under 10K — a bargain for such a stunning transformation.

Thank you Rick and Jessie!
