This chair's been in and out of Linda's life for the past 20 years. She bought it at a sale of old hotel furniture but couldn’t figure out what to do with it. For years, it made the rounds, living with family and friends but it's finally come home in a big way.
When I found it about to be thrown out by my daughter, I decided to try once more to give it a life. I painted it black enamel and for the seat, I used vintage wool from the 1920’s — scraps my grandfather (Giuseppe Pavano) would bring home from his job as a handyman at Michael Sterns (a long defunct menswear factory) in Rochester NY.
We love how Linda took a cast-off piece and turned into into a beautiful, and more importantly, personal treasure.

Thank you Linda!
